Drone with camera for radiation detection is one of the high-tech attractions of the 72nd International Technical Fair Plovdiv. This was announced by Prof. Dimo Zafirov of the Institute of Space Research Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He added that the focus of this exposition is mobile robots.
Bulgaria is among the leading countries designing and producing unmanned aircraft for civilian use. The technique is part of the Robohitech exhibition in the 10th Pavilion of the Fair.
There are insect-sized mobile robots, and there’s one on Boeing 737. Their applications are most diverse – for surveillance, security, fire safety, disasters and accidents. Every day, within the framework of the International Technical Fair, which will run until October 1, will be a drone show – demonstrations with flying robots and car models.
The technical fair was opened by the Executive Chairman of the Bulgarian Industrial Association Bozhidar Danev. The event was attended by the Minister of Agriculture Desislava Taneva, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Bulgaria Dusan Strauh, the mayor Ivan Totev, the MPs, the district governor Zdravko Dimitrov, the Metropolitan Nikolay, the directors of the fair Ivan Sokolov and Bogomil Bonev and others.
